Valley Fever Screen - Dog
Detect hidden fungal disease from home.
Valley Fever is a fact of life for anyone living in Arizona, California, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas, and Utah. Valley Fever (Coccidioidomycosis) is a fungal disease caused by Coccidioides immitis.
During dry spells, the mold goes dormant in the soil, and can remain dormant for prolonged periods of time. Once it rains, the fungus grows into long filaments of mold containing infectious spores. These spores spread with wind, construction, and dust storms (Haboob). Dogs are often infected when they sniff the ground and inhale the infectious organism.

Valley Fever testing made easy.
Your veterinarian may recommend a special test to help evaluate for this condition, called a “Coccidioides Screen and Titer.” Because it is not possible to test for the organism, we measure antibodies to the Valley Fever.
